Nude Beaches In India

Officially there are no nude beaches in India.
That’s because nudity in public is illegal

( if our Governments had their way nudity in private might be banned someday as well)

However, over the years some isolated spots along the coast have become havens for naturists from around the world and topless sun-bathing is common-place.

Anjuna Beach in Goa was clearly the biggest nude-beach in India. Over the years however this beach has lost it’s status.

Arambol Beach is in a similar situation. Hippies discovered this beach in Goa when it was unused and turned it into a stop on the trail. Today, “just a sprinkling of topless white females adorn the sands even as members of the Goa Police patrol the beach,” according to a 2001 article by Goa Today.

Vagator Beach is probably the most frequented beach for naturists today and is probably the only place around Goa you’ll find tourists dropping all their clothes.

Ozra Beach is close to Vagator and enjoys similar reputation.

Om Beach in Gokarna, Karnataka is one of four in the town and because it is evidently the most isolated of the four you can often find visitors in the buff on it’s clean and empty sands.

But if you don’t want the cops bothering and are an uninhibited naturist you need to head out of the country. And this guide is the best place to start.
